Ordering Prints
Even though I provide image files at no charge to you, some clients prefer the additional option of ordering prints from my professional lab via JimDoty.Zenfolio.com. I upload your photos to Zenfolio and send you a link to your gallery. You can order professional quality prints on archival paper at very reasonable prices in a wide range of sizes. You can also put your photos on a wide range of specialty items from mouse pads and calendars to mugs, bookmarks, and t-shirts.
Color prints from Zenfolio are on Fuji Color paper for vivid, colorful archival prints on a true photographic “silver halide” paper. Your prints will last 2 to 3 times as long as prints from most mini-labs or kiosks and 7-8 times as long as prints from a dye-sub printer. An 8×10 print from my lab on Fuji Color Paper will cost $5.99. Compare that to an 8×10 mini-lab print for $3 or $4 that is less colorful and will fade in as little as 18 years or a dye-sub print that will fade in as little as 6 years.
You can also choose Fuji Pearl paper which has a gorgeous pearlescent/metallic finish, stunning colors and a three dimensional look, and an excellent archival print life that will far outlast most mini-lab prints. An 8×10 print on Fuji Pearl is $6.99.
You can share your gallery with family and friends so they can order their own prints. This can be a real time saver for graduations, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, family gatherings, and other events where several people want to order prints. Just share the location of your gallery (and the password if you choose to password protect your galley).

Aspect Ratios and Cropping. You can order prints at Zenfolio in a variety of sizes in both normal aspect ratios (5×7, 8×10, 11×14 etc) and long aspect ratios (4×6, 8×12, 11×16 etc.). Choose “Best Fit” to see the sizes that are best for the print you want. Some cropping will be involved if you pick an aspect ratio that isn’t the best fit for that particular photo.
Printing Paper Options at Zenfolio. Two color printing paper options are available when you order: “Color” (which is Fuji Color paper) and Fuji Pearl (pearlescent/metallic) paper.
Fujicolor Color paper is very popular with professional photographers. Accurate color, realistic saturation, excellent neutral flesh reproduction, and greater intensity are just a few of the benefits of this paper. You will see brighter blues, cyans, purples, and reds.
Fuji Pearl. If you have never seen a Fuji Pearl print, you owe it to yourself to try this paper. Fuji Pearl uses a patented combination of film and laminate layers resulting in striking three-dimensional images. Its unique pearlescent surface, resistance to tearing and curling, and ultra-bright backgrounds make it an exceptional paper regardless of application. Fuji Pearl offers natural looking skin-tones, sharp details and beautifully saturated colors. This paper is truly impressive.
Save money on getting your print framed. Mounting, framing, and matting options are available at Zenfolio at the time you place your order. Framing prices here are generally 40 to 50% less than the prices at most local discount frame shops and chain stores and 60 to 70% less than many custom frame shops. You can check that out yourself by calling a local frame shop for prices and then comparing to the prices at Zenfolio. Just choose “Preview and Configure” during the check out process to have your print matted and framed.
